Duchesse is knitted from the top down without a seam. This sweater is constructed with a yoke in the round. Delicate ruffles adorn the collar and cuffs to give the impression of wearing a feminine blouse under a basic wool sweater.

The sweater is knitted with a fingering weight yarn and a lace weight mohair and silk blend yarn. The ruffles are knitted with two strands of a lace weight mohair and silk blend.
