Oxford is the classic round-neck cardigan. A true wardrobe staple, it stands out with its modern construction and finishes worthy of the big stores.

It is knitted from the top down, without a seam. The construction technique used ensures a flattering silhouette at the shoulders without having to use shortened rows to form the set-in sleeve. The button placket is made of double knit, which ensures a good fit and a high-fashion look.

Oxford can be made with or without a pattern on the front. It can be knitted in its simplest form, in a single colour. For a bit of madness, opt for the option with the Argyll pattern on the front. The basic diamond pattern is made in intarsia. The X's are embroidered at the end using the duplicate stitch technique.

You can make this pattern with DK weight yarn or fingering weight yarn doubled with mohair.
